Transforming Futures in Edo State: The WHW Vocational Hub Launch
My dearest community, supporters, and partners.
My heart is filled with great anticipation for a monumental step in our mission: the grand launch of our new Vocational Hub for Vulnerable Women and Girls in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria! This hub marks a significant leap towards self-reliance and sustainable futures.

A Beacon of Hope in Edo State
Too many women and girls face hurdles like abuse, domestic violence, street hawking, and being school dropouts, leading to stagnation. Under my leadership, Women Helping Women (WHW) is dedicated to breaking these cycles. Our core belief is empowerment through practical skill acquisition. We’ve seen this transformation firsthand, impacting over 5,000 women and girls through missions in Edo State (2023) and Ghana (2024).
Why This Mission? A Personal Calling & Edo Focus
This Edo State mission is a deeply personal calling, driven by the conviction that “Empower a woman, you empower a nation.” Every woman deserves to thrive. This Vocational Hub in Benin City is a permanent sanctuary for learning and growth, directly addressing stagnation for the most vulnerable. It offers a safe space for survivors and those held back by circumstance to acquire valuable vocational skills, gain confidence, and find support to overcome barriers. This hub is our commitment to helping them write their own success stories.
Design Her Future: Equipping for Inclusive Growth
The new Vocational Hub, themed Design Her Future: Equipping women and girls with creative and entrepreneurial skills for inclusive growth, will be a hands-on center. Here, vulnerable women and girls will gain market-ready skills applicable to the local economy, fostering long-term economic independence, entrepreneurial spirit, and resilience.
This groundbreaking initiative is made possible through collaborations with:
- Victorious Living Fellowship.
- Ministry of Women Affairs.
- Edo State Diaspora Agency.
- Edo State Board for Technical & Vocational Education.
Join Us for the Grand Opening!
We warmly invite you to witness this significant milestone and be part of a movement truly transforming lives. Your presence will underscore our shared commitment to empowering women and building a sustainable tomorrow.
